Art Director – Solid Gear Footwear

The Opportunity

As Art Director at Solid Gear, you’ll be at the forefront of our marketing team, working closely with the Copywriter, Graphic Design, Creative Director, Marketing Manager, and channel experts to translate brand and product strategies into striking, original, and forward-thinking visual concepts. This role offers the chance to shape Solid Gear’s visual identity on a global stage. We need an Art Director who pushes boundaries while staying true to our brand DNA—someone who understands not only our audience but also the nuances of different international markets and cultural contexts. Also, someone who is passionate about building a strong brand. You have an exceptional ability to visualize and present ideas convincingly, both internally and externally. With a sharp sense of design and storytelling, you can create concepts that engage, inspire, and strengthen our brand’s identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and maintaining brand visual identity across all channels, from social media and catalogs to trade fairs, in-store assets, video productions, and product communication.
  • Develop communication concepts based on Marketing Plans from the Marketing Manager and creative briefs from the Creative Director.
  • Ensuring the visual brand strategy is clearly understood and embraced by local marketing managers and coordinators.
  • Contributing to Solid Gear’s strategic roadmap and supporting the marketing process to engage our target audience and drive business growth.
  • Work closely with the copywriter, product development team, sales, and other stakeholders to align messaging and design.
  • Oversee and guide graphic design in line with communication concepts.
  • Plan and execute photo and video productions in collaboration with external photographers and production agencies.
  • Manage the production of brand materials, such as catalogs, presentations, and point-of-sale assets.
  • Control projects to ensure they align with budget, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Support local markets in implementing centrally produced marketing materials and maintaining brand coherence.
  • Participate in events, fairs, internal meetings, and conferences to strengthen brand presence and alignment.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager for Solid Gear Footwear.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in a relevant field.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative design, strategic concept development, and a deep understanding of marketing and brand communication.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A driven and trustworthy team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to improve how the world works.
